Joel Souza, the director of the movie "Rust", is on his way to recovery. According to aceshowbiz.com, more than a week after he was accidentally shot and killed by veteran actor Alec Baldwin on the set, in the first photo after the accident, someone saw the director wearing an arm Suspenders.

The 48-year-old filmmaker was found outside his home in Palo Alto, California.

Joel Souza's friends claimed that he was still mourning the photographer Halyna Hutchins who was killed in the same accident.

"Joel Souza fell apart. He was standing behind Halena," the friend shared.

The friend added: “When Alec shot them directly, they were all looking at the camera monitor. He completely broke down.”

The shooting occurred during filming at Bonanza Creek Ranch in Santa Fe, New Mexico on October 21.

According to reports, when Alec Baldwin opened fire, Joel Suza was standing directly behind Halina Hutchins.

Unfortunately, Hutchins died after being airlifted to the University of New Mexico Hospital for stomach surgery.

On the other hand, Joel Souza managed to escape death after being taken to the emergency room of Christus St. Vincent Hospital. He stayed in the hospital for one night only after taking a bullet from his shoulder.

A Change.org petition initiated in the name of Hutchins, calling for the prohibition of the use of real guns on the set, and for better working conditions for the crew, has received more than 81,000 signatures at the time of submission of this report.

In response to the petition, Baldwin said: "I am not an expert in this field. So no matter what other people decide is the best way, in terms of protecting the safety of people on the set, I agree, and I will do my best to cooperate with Cooperation."
