AceShowbiz-Joel Souza is on the road to recovery. More than a week after he was accidentally shot and killed by Alec Baldwin on his film set, in the first photo after the accident, someone saw the director wearing an arm sling.

It was found that the 48-year-old filmmaker looked gloomy outside his home in Palo Alto, California. His friends claimed that he was still mourning the passing of photographer Halyna Hutchins, who was killed in the same accident.

"Joel is torn apart. He is standing behind Halena," the friend shared. "When Alec shot them directly, they were all looking at the camera monitor. He was completely destroyed."

The shooting took place during filming at the Bonanza Creek Ranch in Santa Fe, New Mexico on October 21. According to reports, Joel was standing directly behind Halina when Alec shot.

Unfortunately, Halyna died after being airlifted to the University of New Mexico Hospital for stomach surgery. On the other hand, Joel managed to escape death after being taken to the emergency room of Christus St. Vincent Hospital. He stayed in the hospital for one night only after taking a bullet from his shoulder.

Alec then used Twitter to express his condolences to Halina's relatives. The former "Saturday Night Live" actor also made it clear that he "is fully cooperating with the police investigation to resolve how this tragedy happened."

Alec himself met Halina's husband and their son. In photos appearing on the Internet, Irish Baldwin’s father can be seen hugging Matthew and the latter’s 9-year-old son outside the hotel where they are staying.

It is reported that Alec is still working hard to deal with the shooting. He was allegedly "hysterical and absolutely uncomfortable within a few hours" after the incident. A source further told people, “Everyone knew this was an accident, but he was definitely destroyed.”
