Williamson Medical Center Foundation launches "Crutch Forward" campaign

Benefit from the Bone and Joint Institute of Tennessee and Williamson Medical Center

The foundation asks the community to donate crutches to meet local needs

Franklin, Tennessee (November 9, 2021) — The Williamson Medical Center (WMC) Foundation launched the "Crutch Forward" campaign, seeking to donate new and old crutches to the Tennessee Bone and Allied Research Institute and WMC’s major hospitals . Due to the shortage of the national supply chain, the current supply of crutches is very low.

WMC Foundation Director Leigh Williams said: “During the pandemic, the Bone and Joint Institute and WMC’s supply chain team worked tirelessly to ensure the necessary supplies and personal protective equipment to support the health and well-being of the community.” “Unfortunately. However, the supply chain disruption has affected the ability of health care providers across the country, including WMC, to purchase the crutches needed to support patients after illness, injury, or surgery.
