New She-Hulk footage shows how Marvel is already teasing a major Bruce Banner twist coming in Phase 4 thanks to a familiar-looking spaceship.

Marvel used new She-Hulk: Attorney At Law footage to tease a major Bruce Banner twist coming in Phase 4. Mark Ruffalo's Hulk has been a supporting character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe for the last decade, but he continued to receive prominent roles in the Avengers film despite no solo project. Although She-Hulk is an MCU show starring his super-powered cousin, the series will also see Ruffalo's Smart Hulk return once again in Phase 4. The continuation of his MCU story is positioned to dive deeper into the Jade Giant, and Marvel is already teasing one huge Bruce Banner twist.

Hulk's presence in She-Hulk has raised a lot of questions prior to the show's release. Most have fixated on Smart Hulk and Bruce Banner's appearances, as the arm injury caused by using the Infinity Gauntlet in Avengers: Endgame is missing - even though Bruce was shown wearing a sling in Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings' post-credits. The series is expected to answer questions about how all of this fits together while also revisiting former Hulk villains like Abomination (Tim Roth). Marvel has also teased Jennifer Walters' (Tatiana Maslany) origin, which could involve a car crash she and Bruce are involved in when a mysterious spaceship appears before them.

Marvel likely has already teased a massive Bruce Banner twist thanks to She-Hulk's spaceship, with the surprise being that Hulk has a son. The spaceship should look familiar to MCU viewers, as it is similar in design to the ones seen on Sakaar, the Grandmaster's planet where Hulk became a Champion between Avengers: Age of Ultron and Thor: Ragnarok. Marvel did not have time to fully explore what Bruce was up to beyond fighting on Sakaar, but Hulk's missing Thor: Ragnarok story could mirror the comics, which included falling in love and secretly fathering a son, Skaar. She-Hulk's spaceship is most likely piloted by Skaar, as he has come to Earth to find his father.

Hulk's son appearing in She-Hulk has previously been speculated about and rumored, but now there is a possible sign that Skaar is actually coming. His arrival and existence likely come as a major shock to Bruce Banner and audiences. However, Hulk's son could be another piece of World War Hulk setup for Marvel Studios. There have been reports that Marvel was developing a new solo movie centered around Hulk that would adapt his iconic World War Hulk comic event. Instead of Hulk coming to Earth to fight the Avengers, though, speculation mounted that the rumored World War Hulk MCU movie could see Hulk go back to Sakaar or even focus on a rising number of people with Hulk-like powers on Earth.

Skaar's introduction in She-Hulk will add a brand-new layer to Bruce Banner's MCU story, so it is unlikely that Hulk's son would be included as a throwaway reference. It is more likely that Skaar factors into Marvel's long-term Hulk plans, including the rumored World War Hulk movie. She-Hulk's spaceship gives Hulk and Skaar a form of transportation to leave Earth behind, which Bruce Banner might be more willing to do after Jennifer Walters accepts her place as a hero and should he learn that Sakaar is no longer safe.
