This supermodel is talking about her company's new skin care products on BAZAAR.com.

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley is no stranger to beauty. With more than 20 years of modeling experience and brand activity experience, she is a true makeup and skin care expert. Huntington-Whiteley eventually filtered this knowledge into Rose Inc, which was founded in 2018. The company initially started as a content platform and later expanded to her current product line.

To gain a deeper understanding of Rose Inc’s clean and sustainable spirit, the supermodel, founder and chief creative officer collaborated with California-based renewable chemical company Amyris, which also develops for popular brands such as Biossance and emerging brands The formula is well-known, such as the JVN series recently launched by Queer Eye star Jonathan Van Niss. Now that the holidays are in full swing, Rose Inc has just launched two new products for her coveted collection: a brightening eye cream and a luxurious set of reusable glass cooling balls designed to reduce puffiness and promote lymphatic drainage.

BAZAAR.com and Huntington-Whiteley talked about her company's next steps, the supermodel's current skin care and makeup habits, and why being a busy mother and an entrepreneur is not negotiable.

We have a beautiful exfoliating cleanser. This is something I wanted to do a long time ago because I am a big fan of exfoliating. I always take care not to recommend too many things to others, but for me, I like it-I like exfoliating. My skin is prone to acne, and gentle exfoliation every day is really important for me. Our Clarifying Toner contains acid, which is perfect for daily exfoliation. The toner is great-it contains pomegranate seed extract to help its exfoliating quality, and the beads are environmentally friendly. This is essential to ensure that when the beads enter the sewer, they do not harm the environment. I also want a cleanser from which you can also exfoliate manually.

We also have an eye cream that was just launched; I don’t know you, but when I was in my 30s, I thought,'Yes, well, now I need eye cream. I never bought eye cream when I was in my 20s, but when you are in your 30s, you start to see those fine lines, and I now have children, so I must start to look a little tired. But I just want a cream specially formulated for the eye area, so this is a very suitable product. It also has this lovely reflective quality, which helps to brighten up the under eyes. I like to apply eye cream because it helps the rest of my makeup, especially concealer. One of my secrets to using eye cream is to use it in the first step after cleansing-I usually use certain active ingredients or serums after cleansing, so just add a little eye cream and you can create a kind of eye protection Protective barriers around sensitive areas to prevent any active substances that may spread. Finally, I added a full moisturizer and then added SPF.

Our eye cream can be used with our new Rose Inc Cooling Spheres. These two hand-held spheres that can be put in the refrigerator help promote blood circulation and lymphatic drainage. I think one of the biggest skin care tips for my acne-prone skin is icing: usually I only use ice cubes in the refrigerator or a cold spoon in the refrigerator, but there are opportunities to create more beautiful looks and It feels very exciting and a lovely gift for the holiday.

I use Soft Shine Moisturizing Concealer every day, but I use all products. This is where I feel very happy and proud-many times, you create products, and then you start to play with other things, but for me, these products have really become my staple food, and I am really loyal My own product. This sounds like a matter of course, but after creating products over the years, I am happy that I can stand behind this line, use them every day, and come back to use them consistently-they are outstanding. My Blush Divine Radiant Lip and Cheek Color is also one of my favorite colors, so I usually use some kind of bronzer. The rest of my makeup is something I play with for future releases to make sure everything works well together.

It has undergone some changes because my skin is really problematic throughout the pregnancy. Interestingly, when I was pregnant for the first time, my skin was flawless. I have been acne-free for nine months. This is a miracle, because my entire adult skin has acne, so I thought,'Oh my God, this is great! Maybe I have overcome this! Then he was born, and a few months later I had severe acne for a while, and then my skin settled down. Now with this pregnancy, my acne broke out again. This is frustrating, especially when you are pregnant, because there is nothing you can do about topical use and treatment and things like that. So I'm just going through the action to deal with it during pregnancy, and I will figure it out once I pass this time, but gentle exfoliation is really important to me.

Every day, use my active serum, or some kind of manual scrub or exfoliant to rebuild the skin. When your skin is prone to acne, there is a good balance between using these acids but keeping the skin hydrated, and finding this harmony can be tricky. Seeing a beautician or beautician regularly helps keep me on track and figure out how to modify my products. In addition, I must also use an excellent zinc-sulfur mask at the moment. Cooling things help reduce inflammation and dry out any acne spots I may have, but it doesn't dry out my actual skin. That's why I like zinc and sulfur masks-I use the Biba de Sousa calming zinc and sulfur mask from my beautician in Los Angeles.

This is interesting to us because we did spend a lot of time defining what clean beauty means to Rose Inc, but we talk more about what we put in the product rather than what we take out of the product. Both Caroline and I feel that in 2021 (the year we launched), it will be easy to bring a clean product line to the market-in the United States, the meaning of clean beauty is completely different from that in the United Kingdom and Europe. But in the final analysis, I think every brand must define what this term means to them. For us, this is a brand that focuses on ingredients. We have a list of contraindications, but our color products are specially blended with ingredients that are good for your skin.

We like to think of cleaning as a very comprehensive organic and complete cycle of things. From the supply chain to our transparency as a brand, to the packaging we choose to manufacture these products, and truly make the best choice for skin health and the environment-making our best choice can be a brand. We really push ourselves with this and set the standards that we adhere to. One thing about our products is also very important to me, that is to make them non-comedogenic (no potential pore clogging ingredients), especially because my skin is prone to acne. For me, the most important thing about Rose Inc is the transparency part, because whatever you want to say, you have to support it. So this is really what we spend the most time talking about in conferences as a brand, just to make sure that if we are going to talk about something, it is backed by clinical evidence, which is why we call ourselves a clean and clinically proven brand—— All of our clinical research is conducted from the very beginning of the product creation by my developers and me.

There are those standard things — such as spending a good night on Netflix, or shutting myself in the bathroom, lighting a candle, taking a hot bath — these things are definitely part of my daily life. But when I really think about self-care, taking care of myself, and performing rituals, that's when I keep exercising. When I do this, I feel best, exercise at least three to four times a week and push myself to go. Since becoming a mother, I am getting busier and busier. It is much more difficult for myself to go to the gym than before giving birth to a son. There seems to be an excuse to cancel! So, for me, self-care is about going to the gym and controlling my diet-I don’t believe in dieting, I don’t believe in things like total dieting, but just maintaining a balance with it.

I think that as I grow older, my real chance to find the most authentic state of relaxation and calm is in nature and outside the city. I live in the city-I have lived in the city since I was 17 years old, grew up in the countryside, and used to long to go to the city-but now as I grow older, as a mother, when I sit in the field and look at nature or When breathing fresh air on the beach, I feel a deep peace and tranquility. There is a kind of silence in nature; watching squirrels foraging before autumn, running on the grass, or birds coming-it is these things that bring you back to what is happening in the world and the overall picture of life. Only then did I really feel a deep tranquility. For me, finding balance in a busy life-running at school, working, traveling, and all these things-but making time to spend time with nature is a work in progress, because it is not It's always so easy. It's an honor to be somewhere in between, and I really recognize this. I just hope that there will be more opportunities like this as I grow older, because I understand how important this is to my happiness and my family.

No, I don’t meditate—I like to meditate, but I definitely don’t have this opportunity unless I get up at 6am every morning, and I’m pretty sure if I get up early to meditate, I’ll fall asleep again. It’s really important for me to make time for myself; listening to music, playing podcasts, in my bathroom, in my office, just going for a walk alone. I think the time alone before I gave birth to my son was always there. The time I spent alone overwhelmed me and I didn’t love it as much as I do now. Now I have a child and a busy family, coming and going, walking around, quiet time and alone time just recalibrate and decompress in your mind is really important. Alone time is very sacred-I think, like most mothers, I absolutely desire to spend the night in a hotel during the lockdown.
