Baker Mayfield doesn't feel good now, and it's not just because his team lost another game.

After the Browns lost 37-14 to the Cardinals, Mayfield suspended his left arm from the sling after suffering a left shoulder injury for the second time this season, and was on the post-match podium on Sunday night. When asked how his shoulder felt, Mayfield was blunt.

"It feels like s---," Mayfield told reporters via Zach Jackson of The Athletic.

Due to another problem related to the left shoulder, Mayfield withdrew from Sunday's painful defeat for the second time this season. After being undressed and dismissed by JJ Watt and writhing painfully on the ground, Mayfield landed awkwardly with his left arm and finally went to the tent for inspection in the third quarter. He returned without missing a game, but failed to lead the Browns to an incredible comeback.

Another injury-filled game for the Browns included their quarterback, who will become one of the three key players-running back Kareem Hunt (Mavericks) and linebacker Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah (ankle) are the other two. People-go to have an MRI on Monday.

When asked whether the recent shoulder problem was more serious than the initial injury, Mayfield downplayed the severity.

"Probably. To have an MRI tomorrow so we can find more information," Mayfield said.

The quarterback partially tore his labrum in Cleveland's Week 2 victory over Houston and has since worn a seat belt designed to limit his range of motion. However, according to Mayfield, the seat belt could not prevent Mayfield from falling on his shoulder at a vulnerable angle, causing another dislocation. Later, in a non-contact game, the shoulder "slipped" again.

For people with labrum tears and related instability, shoulder slips are not uncommon. Mayfield said he intends to participate in Cleveland's game against Denver on Thursday night, although the Browns will wait for more information gathered through Monday's MRI before making a formal decision.

In the past two weeks, the Browns have been plagued by injuries with a score of 3-3. Mayfield was forced to tackle behind two substitutes on Sunday, while receiver Jarvis Landry has not played since the beginning of the second week. With Hunter's calf injury, Cleveland's injury reports continue to grow, the severity of which is unclear.

The Browns hope their quarterback can control the pain related to his shoulder and prepare for their prime time game with the Broncos. At the same time, they must make everything else around him work.
