Shavon Shields of AX Armani Exchange Milan underwent an arthroscopic surgery today at the La Madonnina Clinic in Milan, according to the official announcement.

The 27-year-old will have to wear a splint for six weeks and then will begin his recovery, via the report.

The Danish/American swingman suffered a right-hand fracture in the latest Turkish Airlines EuroLeague game against Real Madrid.

With 44 seconds left on the clock, Shields drove to the basket but after a contact with Rudy Fernandez, he fell and started to experience pain in his right wrist. After the foul, Shields was unable to shoot the free throws and didn't enter the game again. 

Shields was the top scorer for Milan in that duel, finishing with 18 points, 2 rebounds, and 2 steals.

Shavon is averaging 12.6 points, 4 rebounds, 2.8 assists, 1.1 steals, and 14.6 PIR over 16 EuroLeague contests.

Shavon Shields' health problems are not the only issue for AX Armani Exchange. As it was announced earlier today, Milan's club has six positive Covid-19 cases. Four of those six are players, while the other two – staff members.

It is also reported that Armani Exchange's game versus Zalgiris Kaunas on Wednesday will be postponed.
